NOT JUST A MAFIA ROMANCE
V.T. Bonds wrote an emotional, deep and poignant mafia romance. My heart broke for the FMC with her shattered familial bonds and lonely life. What she needed or my like who was a vicious mafia king to show her what true family, chosen family can do for the heart and soul. As this series continues, more little hints are dropped and eluded to and I am sitting on the edge of my seat, patiently (HA) waiting for books 5 and 6. With strong, resilient characters and intense writing, Brutal Vows lives up to it’s title, it is brutal and so worth the late night reading it even if it did bring tears to my eyes!

VT Bonds’ new book, Brutal Vows, is the 4th entry in her Vicious Mafia Kings series, and it is SO hot I’d swear it left burn marks in my brain. How does she come up with such racy spicy scenes!? When I’m done reading one of her smutty tomes you could ring me out like a sopping wet dishrag… The storyline in this book is really the best part, though. The way Ermanno responded to the suffering Loretta went through, caused by her own family, melted my heart. And the scene in the dressing room prior to the wedding just slayed me! However, this is a mafia tale, of course, and the action is often quite graphic, so be aware. Loved this one, and I can’t wait for the next book, featuring previously introduced character, Camilla!

Loretta finds herself in the middle of a war she wants nothing to do with. She’s just doing her job and trying to keep everyone and the one person she has left, alive. The last thing she needs is her past pulling her into something she doesn’t want, but somehow needs. Ermanno is just trying to do his job when he comes across a face from his past. Thinking there’s more going on than meets the eye, he take Loretta, not realizing she’s not who he think she is. Neither of them expect to feel the way they do about one another but they’ll do whatever needs to be done to keep one another.
Definitely was not expecting the ending for this one. I hurt for Loretta so much but I am glad she found someone who saw her worth. Sometimes, blood doesn’t really matter when there’s no one standing next to or for you. Great addition to the series! Can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

Okay these two were phenomenal. Loretta was so amazingly strong. I loved her sass, her refusal to break, and her willingness to love. She also broke my heart over and over again. Her hurts and what she went through just made me tear up. And Ermanno was so great! I loved his absolute determination to care for her, and how he loved her for exactly who she was. He loved the family and his own family so much and just folded her into that love.
We were also finding out answers to the big storyline and I can hardly wait for the next one!
