OMG What a emotional rollercoaster! A broken woman, three motherless children and a hunk of a man with a soul so dark he cannot see the light. Until he meets her and she becomes his beam of sunshine: “You already had the light within you, sólnyshka, you just needed someone to shine it onto”. As he rescues her from her nightmares and trauma and gives her the children she cannot have herself. It’s an incredible, moving story, filled with Mafia cruelty (Dimitri also has the Russian Bratva ‘emotionless assassin persona’), but next to it honor, friendship, strength through hardship, and lots of love. Another book in this wonderful series of generous men and strong women, who find each other and their HEA. I just love them all <3. Highly recommended.

This is probably my favorite of this series,while each book is about a couple the overarching plot is rich, descriptive and utterly addictive.
Dimitri,the ubiytsa of the russian mafia comes to the US to “clean the mess” his brother did.
Even before he knew her he decides to marry Camilla ,she’s broken, damaged but her inner strenght calls to him.
Well written and with excelent world building.
A plot that makes your heart ache and your core clench.
Well developed characters, outstanding the growth of the fmc ,how she turns her weakness into strenght with the support of a ruthless but protective mmc.
Perfect for lovers of Mafia romance with morally grey but protective mmcs .
Has some heavy themes so check the TW, but in my opinion are so well weaved into the story that only adds intensity and depht to the story!.

HEALING AND PROTECTION
The fifth book in the Vicious Mafia Kings series by V.T. Bonds is the story I have been patiently waiting for since the series started. This is Camilla’s story, who we first catch a fleeting glimpse of in Book 1. Camilla was all set to marry Nico Russo but after a brutal attack the families decide on Serenity, her sister. The attack on Camilla is the beginning of many attempts to disrupt the NYC Mafia families. Dimitri, the vicious mafia king in this story, has his own trauma and self healing issues to contend with and it is in the beautiful writing that these two characters will either save each other or burn the city to the ground protecting the families. This book, while short in length is dynamic, fast paced and full of depth. The characters are wonderful and heartfelt, you feel their emotions, from the tears to the determination for happiness. I wanted this story and I was not disappointed, I was so entrenched I finished in one day.

He’s her “angel of ☠” and under his love, patience and protection she’s able to bloom like a flower and fight her demons with a strength she thought never existed.
These two together are beautiful and vicious.
They both need each other and she needs the children just as much as she needs him.
You WILL gasp. You WILL grab a few tissues. If you should pass on this one? You WILL kick yourself.

This is the 5th, and next to last book in the Vicious Mafia Kings series. I’ve read all previous books in the series, and they’ve all been fantastic reads. In Possessive Vows, we meet Dimitri Volkov and Camilla Vivaldi. We met Camilla in a previous book where we learned she is the older sister of Serenity Russo. Serenity agreed to replace Camilla as fiancé to Nico Russo, per their parents’ request. Camilla suffered a horrifying attack that left her disabled and unable to fulfill their wedding plans. Camilla has struggled to recover her physical and mental abilities ever since. She still feels broken and suffers a heavy load of guilt and shame, when she meets Dimitri. Camilla is profoundly affected by him. Dimitri is the enforcer for his Bratva family in Russia. Turns out the person who instigated the attack on Camilla is his brother, and Dimitri has come to the US to mete out justice and restore his family’s honor, part of which includes taking Camilla under his protection. Camilla wants to rebuff his offers of protection but also feels a sense of wonderment about this man who has appointed himself her guardian angel. These two must find their way through numerous twists and turns, many of which are fraught with danger and cut-throat Mafia soldiers out for blood. I was mesmerized by this book and loved the two main characters. I am looking forward to Book 6 and, yet, I’m not. I don’t want the series to end. I was lucky to read an advanced copy of this book but this is my honest and freely-given review.

I’ve been waiting for Camilla’s book and it did not disappoint! When we first met Camilla way back in book one, she was broken with no hope. In her book, she has worked so hard to overcome so much through the love of her siblings and her will to overcome her demons and nightmare. She dare not hope for more, seeing herself still broken. After all that has happened to Camilla, she deserves a HEA and the author delivers it with dangerous and determined Dimitri Volkov. There paths cross because he’s in the States to clean up the mess of his blood. Finding out Camilla is one of those loose ends, he’ll do what he needs to do to help heal her. With Dimitri, Camilla will have the future that she thought was out of reach and lost to her.
I enjoyed this one immensely! My only issue is that it was so quick and short and I wanted more! LOL. Besides that, this was all that I hoped for Camilla and more. A wonderful ending to a character who so broke my heart when she was but a side character. Definitely a recommended read!
