I really liked the first book in this series and this one is just as good! Thrilling situations full of action, devious family members, instant love with possessiveness and protectiveness between the Mafia Don and his bride. Strong man and intellectual woman, with some interesting side persons.
The violence is not for the faint of heart, but the loving is steamy and caring. Loved it!
Highly recommended.

This book is so good! Giorgio is just the right kind of possessive and obsessive. To sum him up, this quote says it all: “I need to be the center of your world. Because you’re already the center of mine.” The love and affection between the two main characters is phenomenal and it makes me swoon! Giorgio supports Aurora, loves her unconditionally, and makes her his highest priority. Can’t wait to read the next in the series!

For me, V.T. Bonds is creating a fantastic mafia romance series. Book 2 of the Vicious Mafia Kings series continues with the next Mafia Man to fall hopelessly for his leading lady. While another clue is given to the overarching storyline of who is out to hurt the Familia, the story follows the growing bond between Aurora and Giorgio as they navigate the underhandedness of their parents and the threats to their lives and those they love. This series will capture you in the fantastic writing, the heartfelt characters and the ongoing mafia story.

Heartless Vows opens with Aurora and Giorgio, the MCs, both in total shock when their parents suddenly spring the news that the two of them will be marrying soon. Both sets of parents have chosen to contract them to each other, arranged marriages apparently being typical in their mafia world. So, I thought this story would completely center around an “enemies to lovers” theme with both Aurora and Giorgio trying hard to reject the whole plan. But right from the get-go, they were each captivated by the other, if not very trusting of one another at first. The intense connection between Giorgio and Aurora was insanely beautiful. We met Giorgio briefly in the previous book, and he impressed me as a bit of a hotheaded jerk. But in Heartless Vows he becomes the epitome of the protective mate, the Alpha husband who will go to any lengths to keep his woman safe and happy. Yeah, a bit of the controlling jerk is still there, but it appears Aurora is more than capable of smoothing out his rough edges. Aurora is just as determined and protective, especially over her young brother, and she tussles with Giorgio, continually, over doing things her way.
Giorgio’s protective streak also extends to safeguarding his two sisters. Recently though, Giorgio believes he has let his sisters down. Someone brutally attacked both women; someone Giorgio can’t pin down. He has a horrible suspicion there is a connection to someone in his own family, and that’s crushing enough, but throughout the book he gradually learns how extensively Aurora’s parents have abused her and her brother for many long years. That’s when it gets really interesting. This becomes the nucleus of Giorgio’s violent focus: find the vile demons harming his and Aurora’s family and send them straight to hell.
I enjoyed Heartless Vows immensely. And all the many hot, spicy romantic scenes didn’t hurt either! Can’t wait until the next book.

Very fast paced, dark mafia romance. I was a little confused with the characters at first but once I was able to figure out who was who, I really enjoyed the story. Aurora may be young, but she is mature beyond her age. She’s smart and fierce in her own secretive ways. Giorgio is a hard man. With parents like his, you don’t really need any other enemies. But enemies he does have and once his and Aurora’s marriage has been announced, there is going to be more at stake than what already was before.
Giorgio is the bad boy with a heart of gold. I really love him for the choices he made for Aurora. Not many men would ever do what he did and I love him for that (even though he is a fictional character, LOL). I really, really do not like the parents in this one. I mean I didn’t care much for the elder Vivaldi from the last book, but the Achilles, even less so. I know the mafia world isn’t all red roses, but really, these people don’t need to be having kids. Anyway, totally recommend this book.
