This series is an absolute delight,a fusion of fairytale, monsters ,omegaverse ,all brilliantly woven by the authors.
This is the second book of the series and is a steamy, action-packed, alien monster omegaverse retelling of The Little Mermaid about a shapeshifting antihero alpha, a sweet omega, grumpy/sunshine that start with hate but their interactions quickly extend to lust.
Excelent world building,characters that steal your heart from the start and a plot so good that kept me engrossed in the story until the perfect end !.

This is a fun take on the Little Mermaid. I love the paranormal alien setting and the fun twist with Ursali, the shapeshifter, and Arana, the mermaid. I liked that this wasn’t the expected retelling and the characters were given a bit of a mix up (the less said about Edric the better).
Arana is a feisty FMC. She is sheltered amid the mermaid community but strives for more than the constraints placed upon her by her family. Ursali is the damaged and jaded ex military medic. He wants to live his life in exclusion and peace. When these two meet it is an explosion of enemies and hate energy. These two do not get on. But in true omegaverse fashion, these two can only fight their biology for so long. The grumpy MC is soon putty in her hands and desperate to look after his precious omega.
A fun and steamy fairytale retelling quick read.

Arana is an Omega mermaid that has no support from her family. She’s curvy and dark haired, a total opposite from the rest of her family. Always put on the back burner and made to feel bad for having the audacity for pointing it out.
When her bridezilla sister plans her wedding on the same day as Arana’s graduation, she’s crushed, but such is her life. She just wants to feel like she matters.
Ursuli has seen too much war. He no longer helps the injured and has decided to live as a hermit. His kind, Reapers, could become as vapors or be in solid form, perfect for helping the injured or dying. Still, the nightmares of war never leave him.
Arana is singled out for yet another impossible wedding task, she still has assignments to complete before her graduation. She’s out with her friend when they see a spaceship crash and rush to see if they can help the survivors. The only thing she can think to do is take them to the closet land, the demon’s lair.
Ursuli saw the crash and even though he felt drawn towards it, he fought the urge and instead cleaned the wreckage from his beach.
Seeing Arana, he can’t get the beauty of her or that she believes the Beta males lie about being hurt. Every time he looks at her, she’s coddling him. She confronts him about ignoring the male so he tells her the truth. The male just wants her attention.
Arana doesn’t like his attitude at all but her body still reacts to the dark Alpha. The injured man asks her to go with him to help him home, not used to receiving such attention, she agrees. She asks Ursuli if there’s a way for her to leave the water and he realizes how truly naive she is and tells her no.
Returning home to ask her father if he knows a way and say goodbye, her father gets angry and commands her to go to her room. She runs away only to find the male gone. Finding him with another female, she’s not only hurt but trapped. He plans to sell her during her heat!
She runs, too ashamed of her wrong choices, too hurt to return home and not able to face the Alpha who only told her the truth, she just walks.
Ursuli is walking on the beach when he sees her and can no longer deny himself. He gives her the choice to walk away and when she claims him, he’ll never let her go.
The Little Mermaid was never this spicy!
