Pearl and her family are on a mission to escape but things go sideways and Pearl finds herself fighting for her life and her sisters. Dragged aboard a ship, Alpha Tide immediately takes her for himself and offers her sister the help she needs. Pearl is understandably terrified of the changes happening but it isn’t long before she’s convinced Tide is more than just brutality. “I want it. It makes no sense, but I long to be the one to tame him. To soothe him. To own him.” Tide has yearned for an Omega of his own and when he sets his sights on Pearl, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to make her his. ”I took over an entire ship and created a safe community, knowing the female I found would deserve all the protection and comfort I could offer.” These two were unique in their own ways from previous Alpha/Omega pairings in this series and enjoyed their romance. This may have been short but it didn’t hold back on all the spice and depravity that I’ve come to love. This has, hands down, been my favorite of the series! I absolutely loved Tide from the moment he pulled Pearl and Gem out of the water. He is caring and attentive from the beginning and they are perfect for each other.

I loved Pearl and Tide. He proved himself to be a trustworthy alpha and even though she’d seen a lot of tragedy, she saw that he would protect her and her sister. Pearl was actually in favor of this OTT protector. And when they got together they burned up that nest. We even get some background (brief though it may be) on Tide and it made the story all the better. All the stories in this series are short and heavy on the spicy, but this one had that little bit more that made it even better. Great HEA.

Good enjoyable short spicy read, this book in the series the alpha was less dominating an seemed to have more control over his urges. I loved pearl an Tide as mates and there journey getting there.
I love the ending on all these books an would love a book with them all in the future crossing over with there children.
Would love to see a story about Gem finding her mate as she needs it what she went through.

I love the descriptive setting of water world. Also, I like how the alpha is tall hunk of a man who is super caring and protective, not to mention he is leader amongst men. In contrast I like that the omega is smaller and innocent but fierce. HEA and pregnancy A++++ It’s super awesome that some loose ends are happily taken care of by the end of the book to boot. I can’t wait to read the next story!

Each new book in this series becomes my new favorite and this one is no different. I loved Pearl and Tide. The two are great together. As hot and sexy as this book is the emotions shine through. Tide meets his match in Pearl she is just as much a survivor as he is. I loved seeing the softer and protective side of Tide that he only shows to Pearl and as soft as she can be we see a fierceness in Pearl as well. I was pulled into their story right from the start and am eager for more.

Bred by the Barge is an amazing continuation to this series. Leading characters Tide and Pearl are wonderful and well written. I love the author’s premise behind this amazing world. I like that this story doesn’t fit perfectly into what we seem to think is believable – isn’t that why we choose to read fantasy books. The story has great character building and sizzling scenes. Tide and Pearl’s story is so compelling their characters captivated me from begin to end. The author gave life and meaning to each character and surroundings that I couldn’t wait to see each chapter unfold. Open your mind and get ready to dive deep into some unique reading. A definite must read for fantasy lovers!

I know I said this before, but this one was my favorite yet. I loved Pearl and Tide. They went together perfectly and were what each needed. Pearl was very strong because she had to be and now she can have someone to care for her while caring for him in return. I loved everything between the two of them. Both had regrets in their pasts and now they lighten their burdens together.

I loved Tide and Pearl’s story. Pearl was being smuggled out of the city where she lived with her sister by their parents because her sister was attacked by an alpha. While on the ship that was smuggling them to a different city they were attacked by pirates and sent into the ocean. Tide saves the sisters and claims Pearl for his own. Pearl’s only hesitance is leaving her sister alone but she also claims Tide as her own.

Tide and Pearl’s story is quick, steamy, and full of emotion. Tide was one of the more gentle Alphas and Pearl is one of the stronger Omegas. I loved their connection and the heat between them. I also loved all the tender moments. It was a fantastic one-sitting read.

TBH, I liked this one better than the previous books in the series. They have all been super enjoyable, BUT I liked the affection in this one, more than the only growly possessive alphas in the previous books. Don’t get me wrong, the earlier ones were great too, lots of spice, well-written characters, good world-building. But this one had more…emotion…relatable emotion. Regardless, I really liked it, and I only wish it was longer.

Whimsical Sigh. Okay these Waterworld Alphas are amazing. Barge Captain Tide is no different. I love how he rescues Pearl and her sister Gem and how his sensitivity allows him control to claim his omega. Love how the interaction between Pearl and Tide. So tender and caring. Made me smile with a whimsical sigh.

Out of one fire and into another, Pearl finds herself fighting for her and her sister’s life. But she’ll have to keep on fighting when they’re rescued by an Alpha.
Tide is drawn to this firece Omega whose loyalty to her family is clear. He wants that kind of loyalty and he’ll use all his tricks to ensure he’s the one she’ll choose and fight for.
Another great addition to this series of quick, straight to the point reads. I know exactly what I’m getting and am never disappointed.

Bred by the Barge is out now, another fantastic story in Bonds’ Alphas of the Waterworld series. I truly enjoy the various scenes that V.T. builds for her characters. So, even though this world actually IS a “waterworld,” and there isn’t much choice other than to live on some floating vessel or other, V.T. manages to make each setting distinctive just as she makes each character a unique creation. Although the barge might seem limited compared to the wide, wide ocean, it appears really to be a well-fortified small city, an “oasis” that our Alpha and his omega can shelter their life together in. Alpha Tide is the penultimate protector, doubly so now that he has found his mate in Pearl. She, the omega, is fierce and protective, particularly so with her sister, who Pearl believes is all the family she has left in life. Yum…so, so good!

Tide and Pearls story starts with escaping and being rescued.
Tide is a tough leader but only because he wants the best for his community. Pearl wants to protect her sister and will do anything to prevent her from experiencing more hurt. This is how the two MCs come together.
This was another quick novella but very much enjoyable.

Of this series, I think this might be the best. Unlike most of the Omegas we’ve met so far, Pearl is more unique and that sets this novella apart in ways. Its scorching hot, but still gives us yet another intriguing facet of this dark, gritty post apocalyptic world. Its thoroughly enjoyable!
